On March 7 at 6 p.m. the University of Nebraska at Kearney and Hastings College students will gather at the Tri-City Arena for the American Cancer Society’s Tri-City College Relay for Life event. The event will take place from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. for an overnight event designed to celebrate cancer survivorship and raise money for research and programs for the American Cancer Society. Relay for Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported and that one day cancer will be eliminated. Opening ceremonies begin at 6 p.m., luminaria ceremony at 10 p.m. and closing ceremony at 5:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend the event.
