Two industrial distribution majors from the University of Nebraska at Kearney each received a $2500 James A. Schmid scholarship for the 2003 Spring and Summer terms. Jeremy Hinze of Rising City and Dustin Reynolds of Hooper were the recipients of the scholarship.
James. A Schmid, now deceased, was the former CEO of Crescent Electric Supply. Crescent Electric attends the Industrial Distribution career fair each year at UNK and hires many graduates from the program.
