The University of Nebraska at Kearney Department of Political Science presents The Annual Norris Scholarship Luncheon on October 12, 2001 at the UNK Health and Sports Center, HPER gym. “The Norris Scholarship Luncheon is an opportunity for the campus and Kearney community to recognize an individual for their contribution to Nebraska as a public servant,” said James Scott, chair of the UNK Political Science Department.
The 2001 George W. Norris Distinguished Lecturer is United States Senator Ben Nelson. The topic of his lecture is “Reflections from a Freshman Year.” The luncheon starts at 12 noon. Tickets are $12 per person and can be obtained by calling the Department of Political Science at (308) 865-8506.
