Jennifer Ramsey, a University of Nebraska at Kearney senior advertising major from Ord, is headed to Bethesday, Maryland for a summer internship with a data management company, Empower IT.
Empower IT provides clients with the data management analytical services and education they need to increase sales and improve their bottom line. They develop and deliver business management solutions for retailers, manufacturers, brokers and wholesalers in the consumer goods industry.
Ramsey will work on a variety of projects during her eight-week internship. Debra Smith, president of sales and marketing for Empower IT, said that it is a perfect time for Ramsey to come and learn about data management.
“It is an exciting time for us because we are expanding our capabilities as a company. We will have some very interesting projects for Jennifer to work on,” Smith said.
“It will be great to gain hands-on experience, and I’ll get a taste of what it’s like to work in the real world,” Ramsey commented.
