INTERNATIONAL FOOD FESTIVAL

The James E. Smith Midwest Conference on World Affairs at the University of Nebraska at Kearney begins Sunday, March 4. The UNK Choraleers will perform “Holocaust Contata” at 5 p.m. in the Fine Arts Recital Hall. Following at 6:30 p.m. is the very popular International Food Festival at the Health and Sports Center. UNK international students will serve foods they prepared from their native countries and entertain an anticipated crowd of nearly 2,000. International cookbooks will be distributed to the first 800 people to arrive, compliments of Morris Press.

All activities are open to the public, free of charge.

The World Affairs Conference will continue on the UNK campus through Tuesday evening. Since 1964, Kearney State College, and now the University of Nebraska at Kearney, has sponsored this international conference to discuss issues of global import. In 1988 the name was of the conference was changed to honor professor James E. Smith.
