UNK-UNK once again proved their competitive strength when they competed in the Pioneer Trails Forensics Tournament hosted by Casper College in Wyoming October 13-14. The tournament brought together 18 schools from Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota, Utah, Kansas, and Missouri.
“The team has grown considerably in the last year so the Wisconsin tournament was one of the most fun tournaments I have ever been to. The team really clicked,” said UNK Forensics coach Dr. Melanie Conrad.
Junior Kirk Burtwistle of Stanton placed third in Impromptu, fifth in Informative, sixth in Agter-Dinner Speaking, and was a semi-finalist in Extemporaneous Speaking. Sophomore Jessica Watson of Grand Island placed second in Dramatic Interpretation. Sophomore Carie Steele of Holland was a semi-finalist in Extemporaneous Speaking.
