UNK– On September 25, 2000, UNK’s Panhellenic and Infraternity Council will kick off Faculty Appreciation Week. This is the first time the campus will host such an event.
The week, September 25-28, is filled with different activities which will include the annual Greek Scholarship Awards Night and treats being provided for the faculty by the Greek community. The featured keynote speaker will be Dr. Peter Longo, professor of Political Science. The purpose of Faculty Appreciation Week, September 25-30, is two-fold, to show Greek support for the UNK faculty and to dispel any negative stereotypes about the Greek community.
The theme for Tuesday, September 26, is “Treat Your Faculty Right” day where treats will be provided to the faculty courtesy of the Greek community. Other activities included during the week are “Our Appreciation Shines” where fraternity and sorority members will be washing the windows of UNK faculty on Wednesday, September 27. Greek men and women will dress in formal business attire on Thursday, September 28 in accordance with the theme “Show Your Faculty Appreciation”.
