BUSINESS-FOCUSED WEB WORKSHOPS TO BE OFFERED AT UNK THIS SUMMER

UNK- Workshops that address the use and advantages of the Web in business settings will be held at the University of Nebraska at Kearney this summer.

Dr. Srivatsa Seshadri will be presenting a one-day workshop titled “Creating Customer-Friendly Web Pages,” at 8 a.m. on Thursday, June 15. It is designed for those who do not currently have Web pages or their Web pages or not effective. The workshop is directed towards those who are familiar with, but not experts in, the use of computers. The $74 registration fee includes lunch.

Dr. Seshadri will also present a half-day workshop titled “Harnessing the Web: Stay Local, Go Global,” at 9 a.m. on Friday, June 16. Participants will learn the basics of taking their business on the Web. There is a $49 registration fee.

Participants may take both workshops for a $99 registration fee. The workshops will be held in the Nebraska Banker’s Association Computer Lab, Room E101, West Center Building on West Campus. In addition to the workshop sessions, participants receive free consulting for 30 days after the workshop as well as password-only access to an informational Web page.
