The Frank House at the University of Nebraska at Kearney is set to host a Chamber Orchestra concert on Saturday, Nov. 10.

As part of the Saturday at the Frank House program series, the concert is free, open to the public and will begin at 1:30 p.m.

“This is our first time performing at the Frank House,” said Dr. Deborah Freedman, orchestra director and an associate professor in music and performing arts.

According to Dr. Freedman, the Chamber Orchestra is comprised of UNK students and community members, and will present music by Mozart, Mendelssohn, Vaughan Williams, J.S. Bach as well as popular music “Beauty and the Beast” and “Viva La Vida.”

“I am looking forward to hearing our orchestra in such a beautiful setting and hearing the acoustics of the home,” Dr. Freedman said. “I am eager to present this concert to the community.”

Regular walk-in-hours at the Frank House are Monday through Friday, 2-5 p.m., and Saturday, noon-5 p.m. The Frank House is closed during UNK breaks and holidays. Donations are always accepted.
