UNK STUDENT WILDLIFE SOCIETY TO PRESENT SYMPOSIUM

UNK- The UNK Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society will be presenting “The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge: What Price a National Treasure?” The symposium will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 29 in Copeland Hall Room 142. The educational symposium will examine the ecological, energy and public policy issues associated with proposed oil drilling in the Arctic Refuge. Featured speakers will include Stanley Stenner; executive director Alaska Audubon Society, Anchorage, Alaska; Martin Kleinschmidt; research analyst Center for Rural Affairs, Walthill, Nebraska and Gail Graves; legislative associate Defenders of Wildlife, Washington, DC.
