Deidre Volberding

UNK – Deidre Volberding, a senior music education major from Ogallala, will present a 3 p.m. vocal recital Saturday, Dec. 4, in the
University of Nebraska at Kearney Fine Arts Recital Hall.
Volberding, a mezzo-soprano, will perform pieces in four different languages, including English, German, Italian and French. Among the songs she will perform are “O Rest in the Lord,” “The Stranger” and “Une Flute Invisible.” On “Une Flute Invisible” she will be accompanied by Kelci Fulton of Omaha on the flute. Also, Michelle Fritz will accompany Volberding on the piano.
Volberding studies with Dr. Anne Foradori, a UNK professor of music. In addition, Volberding sings with the UNK Choraleers and UNK Collegium. Membership in both vocal groups is by competitive audition.
Volberding is the daughter of Rod and Ginny Volberding of Ogallala.
