UNK– Children, ages five to 10, will have an opportunity to learn about the history of the Frank House museum and create hands-on craft projects in a 1:30 p.m. workshop Saturday, March 6.
The workshop, “Tiffany for Kids,” will include art and cookie decorating projects, both with a stained-glass theme, which the children will do after touring the historic house and learning the history of the Tiffany window. Caleb Trembly, a UNK business administration major from Hershey, will lead the presentation.
“I’d like the children to walk away with some knowledge of the Frank House history and the beauty of the Tiffany window,” Trembly said. “Personally, I like the color scheme and the fact the window is more than 120 years old.”
Fifteen seats are available for children. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and pre-registration is required by contacting the Frank House at sullivankw@unk.edu, or by calling 308.865.8284, on or before Wednesday, March 3. There is no charge for participation.
The event is one of the “Saturdays at the Frank House” series of presentations. The Frank House is located on the University of Nebraska at Kearney West Campus.
