Wheres the Pork? Science of the H1-N1 Influenza is the topic of UNK Science Cafe Presentation at 5 P.M. Monday

UNK-   “Where’s the pork? Science of the H1-N1 Influenza” is the subject of a Sigma Xi Science Cafe presentation at 5 p.m. Monday, May 11, at Thunderhead Brewery in Kearney.

Dr. Brad Ericson, UNK associate professor of biology, will give the presentation, which is free and open to the public. The UNK chapter of Sigma Xi, which is an international scientific research society, presents timely topics throughout the year in the Science Cafe series.

Dr. Ericson’s talk will focus on the transmission of influenza, the various strains and facts concerning the recent outbreak. There will be an opportunity for questions from the audience.
