PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS AND FACULTY PRESENT RESEARCH AT NPS/PERK CONVENTION

Twenty students and five faculty at the University of Nebraska at Kearney recently presented research at the Association for Psychological and Educational Research in Kansas/Nebraska Psychological Society (PERK/NPS) 2006 Convention held at Fort Hays (Kansas) State University.
    
The conference was a joint venture by the two organizations and featured approved research from undergraduate students and their faculty.  Dr. Miller, chair of the UNK psychology department, was a featured faculty speaker at the event. He gave a presentation titled “Terror Management and Risk-Taking.”
    
Other UNK faculty presenters were Drs. B. Jean Mandernach, visiting professor of psychology; Robert Rycek, professor of psychology and associate dean of the College of Natural and Social Sciences; Theresa Wadkins, assistant professor of psychology; and William Wozniak, professor of psychology.
    
Participating students presented papers and posters that described their respective research projects. UNK students who attended the conference are listed below, alphabetically by hometown, along with their research projects and faculty mentors.
