Regents Scholarship recipients for the 2006-2007 freshmen class at the University of Nebraska at Kearney were announced today.

“Regents Scholarships are the most prestigious academic scholarships awarded to seniors graduating from Nebraska high schools,” said Mary Sommers, UNK director of Financial Aid. “Selection for Regents Scholarships is based on the ACT scores and class ranking.”

The Regents Scholarships are among the largest scholarships awarded at UNK. The scholarships provide full-tuition waivers for 135 credit hours, which is the number of credit hours needed to earn a bachelor’s degree. The dollar value for each scholarship is currently $16,576.
