About 76 4th Grade students
from Elm Creek, Pleasanton, Amherst , and Axtell
will be on campus between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m .

We will start the day off in the Health & Sports Complex  and from there, the students will

Some planned activities include:
Graphic Design, Construction Management, Fun with Technology, a Planetarium Show,
Residence Hall tours in Randall and Stout Halls, and hands-on activities in the Radio/TV areas in the Mitchell Center.

The students and their sponsors will be treated to lunch at the Nebraskan in the Commons between 11:15 and Noon .

We will wrap up the day playing wallyball in Cushing in the racquetball courts !

Early Awareness Day was developed through the efforts of the
Nebraska Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NeASFAA)

and is part of the “Look to the Future” curriculum being utilized at these four schools.

This event is sponsored by
the Office of Financial Aid, the Kearney EducationQuest
Foundation, the Nebraska College Savings Plan, Nelnet and Platte Valley State Bank.

We host this event each year to give these young people a glimpse of college
life in hopes that it will spark an interest in furthering their education.

A very special Thank You goes out to all who generously offered to help in the
production of this event. Your participation and contribution of time and effort is greatly appreciated!
