Chi Omega Fraternity announces the “Just Wish For It” Service Event to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Nebraska

The Kearney community is invited to either Casey’s or Bob’s Total Service to make a donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation while the women of Chi Omega provide a full service gas station on Saturday, Feb. 11,  from 8 am to noon.

The women  of the Iota Zeta Chapter of Chi Omega at the University of Nebraska at Kearney will hold a “Just Wish for It” Full Service gas station event to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation at Casey’s; 39th and N, and Bob’s Total Service; 2nd Ave. and 16th Street this Saturday.  Women will be washing windows and pumping gas for a free will donation. All donations will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Nebraska. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is the National Philanthropy for the Chi Omega Fraternity.

“As this is our third year providing a full service gas station in the Kearney community, we are truly excited about our partnership with Make-A-Wish.”  Nicki Hansen, Chi Omega President stated. “We have volunteered over 150 hours in the past year raising funds to help the Make-A-Wish Foundation grant wishes right here in Nebras ka.”

The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants wishes for children who have life-threatening illnesses, which enriches the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. It is the largest wish-granting organization in the world with 80 chapters in the United States and its territories, 23 international affiliates, more than 25,000 volunteers, and more than 97,000 wishes granted since inception in 1980.
