More than 160 students from across the state will attend the third annual Multicultural Scholars and Leaders Day  on Wednesday, Nov. 2, on the University of Nebraska at Kearney campus.

“We have quality academic programs and a great campus,” said Dr. Bryan Samuel, director of  said. “We want to put UNK on the radar of these culturally diverse students.”

The students will have the opportunity to meet with faculty members and students. They will be presented with the academic opportunities that UNK has to offer as well as learn about admissions criteria, the various majors offered, diversity scholarships and student organizations available. Also, the students will take tours of the campus.

Speakers during the event will include UNK Chancellor Doug Kristensen, along with the directors of Financial Aid, Admissions and the Honors program, the college deans, and current UNK students who attended past multicultural days.
