The series of University of Nebraska at Kearney Go for the Gold receptions continues across the state at 6:30 p.m. at the I-80 Holiday Inn, 7838 S. Hwy. 281, in Grand Island Thursday, Feb. 10.

The Go for the Gold receptions are for high school seniors who have applied to UNK and for seniors who are interested in knowing more about the university. Representatives from the Colleges of Business and Technology, Education, Fine Arts and Humanities, and Natural and Social Sciences, as well as representatives from the offices of Financial Aid and Residential Life will be on hand to answer questions.

In addition, two UNK students from the Grand Island area, Lea Schneider and Erik Korte, will be on hand to answer questions from a student perspective.

“The Go for the Gold receptions are an excellent opportunity for us to bring UNK to communities around the state and give prospective students and their families the chance to interact with UNK faculty, staff, administrators, students and alumni,” said Dusty Newton, UNK director of Admissions.
