The University of Nebraska at Kearney has completed the “first ever”
academic guide in Spanish.

According to Andres Traslavina, Admissions Counselor for Hispanic Students,
“The Spanish version of the academic guide will mostly serve parents,
families and members of the different Hispanic communities that are
inquiring information in Spanish.”

“The Hispanic students we recruit can read, speak and understand English,
but it is just as important for the family to have a good overview of UNK,”
Director of Admissions, John Kundel said.

The Spanish academic guide will help “UNK in promoting its image to the
Hispanic communities emphasizing our commitment to students and our desire to increase diversity and reach out to Hispanic students,” Traslavina said.

“With the rapid increase in the percentage of Hispanic families in
Nebraska, UNK wants to be present as we evolve into a more diverse
institution.”

The Spanish academic guide is available for easy download on the admissions
website or at website address:
