Four University of Nebraska at Kearney American Marketing Association students attended the North Regional AMA Conference in Minneapolis, Minn., in December. Jada Bilau of Pierce, RaeAnn Burton of Maywood, Diane Iwan of Ogallala and Ashley Soles of Ainsworth, met and visited with the Minnesota Twins President, a Hormel sales manager and a district manager from Herff Jones, manufacturer of the Heisman Trophy. The students also took part in interactive sessions with other AMA students.
With roughly 300 students from Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin and Nebraska in attendance, chapter representatives got together to discuss officer duties, chapter structure, recruitment ideas and attendance incentives for their respective chapters. The conference also provided an etiquette luncheon, networking opportunities, and future conference planning sessions. The members wrapped up the weekend with a trip to The Mall of America and a Mardi Gras dance sponsored by AMA.
