The Calvin T. Ryan Library at the University of Nebraska at Kearney campus picked up a collection of over 400 books on December 4. Philip Fleming of Minden, was the donor of the collection which consists of works on World War II.

Fleming, who passed away on December 9, felt that by donating his collection to UNK it would get good care and be put to the best use possible. According to James Rowling, Head Acquisition and Serials Department, “A great many of the titles were not in the Library’s collection.” Rowling also mention that, “Mr. Fleming said he read every one of them, some of them more than once.”
