The University of Nebraska at Kearney’s Department of Industrial Technology has successfully completed the process for National Association of Industrial Technology (NAIT) accreditation. The programs of Telecommunications Management, Industrial Distribution and Construction Management are now accredited by this agency. UNK’s Industrial Technology department is the first university to do the process entirely on-line.

The primary purpose of NAIT accreditation is to encourage and recognize the attainment of certain professional goals and standards for Industrial Technology at the accredited institution. NAIT currently accredits a total of 93 Baccalaureate level programs (178 program/options) in 48 institutions and a total of 49 Associate level programs.

Congratulations to Dr. Tim Obermier, Dr. Ken Larsen, and Dr. Larry Kuskie, industrial technology professors, along with all others in the department who played a vital role in this process.
