An eight-week Driver Education course will be on Mondays and Wednesdays from October 14 to December 9 by the Nebraska Safety Center at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
This course, which meets from 4-6 p.m., conforms to the rules and regulations of the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles and exceeds the criteria established for insurance discounts. Passing the course results in waiver of the written and driver test at the driving examiner office.
The class will meet at the Nebraska Safety Center Driving Range on West Railroad Street. Pre-registration is required and can be done by contacting the Nebraska Safety Center at (308) 865-8256. Enrollment is limited to 24 students and the cost of the course is $225.00. Each student enrolled in the course must have a learner’s or school permit.
