KEARNEY – Cursive writing is a thing of the past. Schools across the nation have dropped it from their curriculums, and people live in a world ruled by texting and emails. But the University of Nebraska at Kearney is keeping the dying art alive with its annual Nebraska Handwriting Contest. KEARNEY – Cursive is not crazy. At least that’s the case at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, which is accepting entries for its long-standing Nebraska Handwriting Contest.
