UNK competition recognizes outstanding student performers

KEARNEY – Three University of Nebraska at Kearney students were recently recognized for their musical talent. Trey Switzer of Gretna, Grace Lueders of Blair and Joshua Wetovick of Fullerton were selected as winners of the 2019 Concerto/Aria Competition conducted Oct. 10 in UNK’s Fine Arts Recital Hall. UNK@TheWorld showing ‘Roma,’ other foreign language films

UNK@TheWORLD film festival begins Tuesday (Feb. 12) with a 7:30 p.m. screening of “Il a Déjà Tes Yeux” (“He Even Has Your Eyes”), a comedy about a French-African couple who adopt a white baby.

UNK Honor Band, Choral Clinic features more than 700 students

KEARNEY – Students from 96 high schools in Nebraska and Kansas will participate in the annual Honor Band and Choral Clinic hosted by the University of Nebraska at Kearney’s Department of Music, Theatre and Dance. UNK public hearing on College Arts and Sciences bylaws is Nov. 29

KEARNEY –The University of Nebraska at Kearney will host a public hearing from 3-4 p.m. Nov. 29 to discuss the constitution and bylaws for the university’s new College of Arts and Sciences.
