KEARNEY – The University of Nebraska at Kearney chapter of the College Diabetes Network is partnering with the Lincoln and Greater Nebraska chapter of JDRF to raise awareness of Type 1 diabetes. The University of Nebraska at Kearney senior was diagnosed with the condition at age 12. “It was a huge lifestyle change,” said Ulferts, who must monitor her blood sugar level constantly.
