UNK, MIAA delay start of fall sports; Games begin Sept. 28

By TODD GOTTULA UNK Communications KEARNEY – The University of Nebraska at Kearney is delaying the start of fall sports competition to Sept. 28 due to the coronavirus pandemic. UNK and Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association officials announced the decision today. It was approved unanimously by chancellors and presidents of the conference’s 14 schools. UNK graduate assistant lands job with Division I athletic program

The top-ranked Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes got 20 kills apiece from Alexis Cardoza and Stephanie Doak and dug up 67 balls to beat No. 2 Nebraska-Kearney in four sets (-22, -23, -17, -20) to win the 2019 NCAA Division II National Championship Saturday night in Denver.
