Alpha Omicron Pi sorority sending holiday care packages to service members

UNK’s Alpha Omicron Pi sorority is bringing holiday cheer to U.S. military members serving overseas through its annual Sisters for Soldiers project. For the seventh year, the sorority collected donations to send care packages to service men and women who will spend the holidays away from their families. This year’s project raised nearly $5,000 and created 392 care packages that will be shipped this week. UNK Police officers sporting pink patches for breast cancer awareness

KEARNEY – University of Nebraska at Kearney Police officers will wear special pink patches on their uniforms throughout October to increase breast cancer awareness and raise money for those fighting the disease. UNK panel to discuss warning signs, how to handle stalking

KEARNEY – The University of Nebraska at Kearney is hosting a Stalking Awareness Panel to increase knowledge about the issue, discuss warning signs and help guide people on what they should do if they, or someone they know, is being stalked.
