UNK fraternity and sorority members recently competed against student-athletes to collect food for the Loper Pantry on campus and Kearney Jubilee Center. The food drive, which was part of the Greek Week celebration, brought in nearly 1,000 items for the pantries. UNK Athletics collected 311 items and Fraternity and Sorority Life won the friendly competition with 678 items. Five students auditioned for two spots as UNK's mascot, Louie the Loper, on Tuesday at Cushing Coliseum. Students were judged on school spirit, energy and enthusiasm.
