Nebraska Safety Center among those offering free ATV safety courses statewide

Aaron Yoder of the Central States Center for Agricultural Safety and Health at UNMC demonstrates ATV safety tips on the ATV simulator that will be used in the statewide training courses.

LINCOLN – The Nebraska Safety Center is among several organizations collaborating to present free training for the public on the safe use of all-terrain vehicles. The training, developed in response to accidents on and off the farm, includes safety practices such as proper personal protective equipment and a demonstration with an ATV simulator on the proper way to ride. Nebraska Safety Center $86K grant helps train Nebraska’s miners

Nebraska has more than 200 mines. The state’s mines are sand and gravel, uranium, surface and underground limestone, clay and cement.

Ford Driving Skills For Life

KEARNEY – Distracted and impaired driving is the focus of the Ford Driving Skills for Life training at the University of Nebraska at Kearney’s Nebraska Safety Center. The event is from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Safety Center driving range, 1801 N. Railroad St. in Kearney. It aims to make a vital difference in habits formed by new drivers. Career Days lineup offers UNK students job advice, opportunities

UNK’s Fall Career and Graduate School Fair is from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Health and Sports Center. More than 50 companies and organizations are represented at the event, which is free and open to the public.
