UNK enrollment – at 6,225 – includes increase in domestic students
KEARNEY – Fall 2020 enrollment at the University of Nebraska at Kearney is recorded just slightly under fall 2019, at 6,225 total students. That’s a decrease of less than 1%. The student population numbers 44 fewer undergraduates than last year, and 10 fewer graduate students. The largest impact on enrollment comes from the decrease in international students, attributed to the worldwide impact of the coronavirus and ongoing issues with students obtaining visas. UNK launching ‘New Nebraskan’ scholarship for out-of-state students
KEARNEY – The University of Nebraska at Kearney just became a lot more attractive to out-of-state students. Beginning in fall 2021, on-campus undergraduate students from anywhere will get a discount that brings them to Nebraska residents’ tuition rate. It’s an offer equal to a 54% decrease – from the current $455 to $209 per credit hour. KEARNEY – All new and returning Lopers now have access to single rooms on campus this fall in a program that will better enable physical distancing in University of Nebraska at Kearney housing.
