Kearney High is UNK Band Day’s top parade performer
KEARNEY – Kearney High School won Class AA, the Sweepstakes Trophy and was named the top band overall at Saturday’s 2018 UNK Band Day Parade competition. The KHS Bearcat Band swept all top honors, as it also was recognized as the outstanding drum line and outstanding color guard winner. It was March 10, 2015, and the University of Nebraska at Kearney student, then a freshman, was heading to his parents’ home north of Kearney. Kearney High School wins top parade honors at UNK Band Day
Kearney High School won the Sweepstakes Trophy and was named the top band overall at Saturday’s 2016 UNK Band Day Parade Competition. Twenty-four Nebraska bands marched in the University of Nebraska at Kearney parade. Directed by Nathan LeFeber and Rick Mitchell, Kearney High won Class AA and was also awarded the trophy for outstanding drum line.
