UNK program receives $1.7M grant to provide student support services

KEARNEY – A University of Nebraska at Kearney program that supports students from disadvantaged backgrounds is receiving $1.7 million in federal funding to maintain these important services. The U.S. Department of Education awarded UNK a TRIO Student Support Services grant that provides $340,241 in annual funding over the next five years. KEARNEY – Janice Admire of Lincoln won the age 50 and over category, and Ray Lynn Coble of Broken Bow the age 17-49 competition in the 29th Nebraska State Handwriting Contest. The contest is administered by the University of Nebraska at Kearney and endorsed by the Nebraska State Education Association and Nebraska State Department of Education. Grand Island, Kearney, Omaha entries top list of winners in State Handwriting Contest

KEARNEY – Winning entries have been selected in the 28th Nebraska State Handwriting Contest. The annual activity is administered by the University of Nebraska at Kearney and endorsed by the Nebraska State Education Association and Nebraska State Department of Education. UNK disappointed in Department of Education security report fines
