UNK's Alpha Omicron Pi sorority hosted a "Strike Out Arthritis" bowling tournament Wednesday evening at Big Apple Fun Center in Kearney. Nearly 150 people played in the event, which raised $4,191 for the Arthritis Foundation. In addition to bowling, the fundraiser included a raffle for prizes donated by area businesses. UNK's Alpha Phi sorority hosted its annual Red Dress Poker and Pitch Tournament on Thursday evening in the Health and Sports Center. In its 15th year, the event included a Texas Hold ’em competition for individual players and a 10-point pitch tournament for teams of two. Sixth-ranked UNK won Saturday's NCAA Super Regional VI Championships at the Health and Sports Center and qualified seven wrestlers for the Division II Championships, scheduled for March 13-14 at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The UNK Jazz/Rock Ensemble performed a free public concert Wednesday evening at the Fine Arts Recital Hall on campus.
