Jase Hueser is Mr. King of Hearts; Alpha Phi fundraiser brings in another $6,000

Alpha Phi sorority at the University of Nebraska at Kearney hosted its annual King of Hearts male pageant Thursday. The event included contestants representing various UNK fraternities, student organizations and athletic teams. Contestants performed dance, talent and interview sessions while vying for the coveted crown and sash. The event raised $6,000 this year and has brought in more than $28,000 since it began six years ago. Ivy Prater heading to DC with leadership skills honed at UNK

Ivy Prater, who graduated from UNK on May 4, is moving to Washington, D.C., in July to work full time for the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. The week before commencement, she represented sororities from across the country as a student lobbyist for the Fraternal Government Relations Coalition.
