A Walk in Their Shoes promotes diversity education

KEARNEY – The University of Nebraska at Kearney Office of Multicultural Affairs invites the campus and community to take a walk in the shoes of others.

What: A Walk in Their Shoes is a week devoted to diversity education.

When: Monday (Nov. 3) at 6:30 p.m. Four speakers will talk about living in America as a minority. Topics to be discussed include sexual orientation, religion, gender and race.

Wednesday (Nov. 5) at 7 p.m., Traditional Cultural Carnival, the carnival features henna tattoos, origami, food from different cultures and a fashion show.

Where: Nebraskan Student Union Ponderosa Room

The events, which are free and open to the public, are sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs, the Division of Student Affairs Registered Student Organization Catering Fund, LoperNites Fund
