SECOND ANNUAL RECYCLED PROJECT RUNWAY, UNK EDITION, SET FOR THURSDAY, APRIL 12

The second annual Recycled Project Runway Program will test students’ creativity in using recycled or recyclable goods to make clothing on Thursday, April 12, at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

The event, which is sponsored by Antelope and Nester Residence Halls, will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the Nebraskan Student Union Ponderosa Room. Garments will be judged on innovation, construction, accessories, overall look and fashion. Hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Prizes will be given for the top three winners. The first place winner will receive an iPad, second place will receive a Hilltop Mall gift card, and third place will receive Buffalo Bucks.

The deadline to enter the competition is Friday, April 6. All garments must be constructed out of recycled or recyclable goods. To enter, contact Bryan Frost of Kearney at frostba@lopers.unk.edu.
