Traditional Chinese dance, food and costumes will be part of the annual Chinese Spring Festival at the University of Nebraska at Kearney on Sunday, Feb. 13.

The Chinese Spring Festival, which is free and open to the public, will be from 6-9 p.m. in the Ponderosa Room of the Nebraskan Student Union.

Chinese students will prepare a variety of foods and give several performances.

According to ChinaCulture.org, the Spring Festival is a celebration of the Chinese New Year, the most important of the Chinese holidays. The Chinese New Year tradition is to reconcile, forget all grudges, and sincerely wish peace and happiness for everyone.
