UNK-  More than 500 high school students will be on the University of Nebraska at Kearney campus Thursday (Oct. 21) for the
Biennial High School Psychology Fair.

The fair, which is hosted by the UNK Department of Psychology, will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Nebraskan Student Union Ponderosa Room and throughout the third floor of Copeland Hall.

Dr. Robert Rycek, professor and chair of the Department of Psychology, said, “There will be more than 60 exhibits/demonstrations
that illustrate various psychological concepts, many of which were designed by our students.

“Try your luck making it through the maze in the Ponderosa Room… but watch out for the rat in the lab coat,” Dr. Rycek said.

In addition, a Nebraska State Patrol car will be parked near the Cope Fountain to demonstrate some of the visibility research
that the psychology department is involved with for the state patrol.
