UNK– Ghosts, goblins and ghouls will flock to the University of Nebraska at Kearney Frank House on Saturday, Oct. 30, to trick-or-treat during Phantoms at the Frank House.

Junior Friends of the Frank House will be handing out candy from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the Frank House, which is located on UNK West Campus. Face painting and a Halloween craft will also be included in the activities.

“The Victorians recognized and participated in Halloween as a holiday,” said Sarah Jones, UNK Frank House director. “We like to keep that cultural aspect of the house alive today.”

The Phantoms at the Frank House event is recommended for children ages 12 and under. Children are encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costumes.

“This is a great community engagement event for the Frank House,” Jones said. “The community can come see the house with decorations and the staff in costumes.” Tours of the Frank House will also be given from 12-5 p.m.

Phantoms at the Frank House, one in a series of “Saturdays at the Frank House” presentations, is free and open to the public. Donations to the Frank House are always accepted.

The next “Saturdays at the Frank House” event will be Story Time for Kids on Saturday, Nov. 6. For more information visit www.unk.edu/offices/frankhouse.
