NEWS ADVISORY: Frank House basement project nearing completion; Final work Monday, April 5, 4 p.m.

NEWS ADVISORY:

Over the past week, a group of University of Nebraska at Kearney students
have been part of a volunteer cleanup crew, led by Austin Lentfer of
Kearney. The group’s assignment–clean out the Frank House basement. In
all, the group removed seven pickup loads of assorted materials, along with
selected items that were taken to Facilities. After clearing materials from
the space, the group swept and vacuumed, and the basement is now ready for
paint. The group will begin painting on Monday, April 5, at 4 p.m.

Austin chose to do this project as part of an Department of Industrial
Technology leadership class, which requires that students lead a community
service project that involves managing a crew.

Crew members include: Kynzie Heilbrun and Sam Hadenfeldt, both of Gering;
Glenn Bills of Grand Island; Jordan Gonzales of Morrill; and Stephan
Pravacek of Omaha.
