As storms roll through Kearney, it’s hard to keep up with maintenance of lawns and gardens, The University of Nebraska at Kearney campus, like the rest of the Kearney community was hard hit in May (see the stack of trees piled on the parking lot east of Centennial Towers East for a graphic view of tree lost on the campus). Among the university facilities dealing with damage and general maintenance needs is the Frank House, which is located on the UNK West Campus.

In the tradition of “neighbor helping neighbor,” a group of youth from the Youth Development and Rehabilitation Center has volunteered to pitch in and work on the Frank House gardens.

THEY WILL BE WORKING ON THE GARDENS TODAY FROM 1-3 P.M.

For more detailed information about the number of young men, etc., contact Frank House Director KrisAnn Sullivan, 308.865.8284.
