Phi Beta Lambda Holds Business Competition For High School Students At UNK

UNK- Students from 16 area high schools tested their business skills at the 21 annual Business Competition Day held recently at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Phi Beta Lambda, which hosted the event, awarded the top six places in each category with the first place winner receiving a medal and a certificate.

During this year’s event, Tennille Gifford of Wood River was honored. Gifford competed while a student at Kearney High School, helped organize the Business Competition Day while a student at UNK and now brings students to the event as the Wood River business instructor and FBLA adviser.

Phi Beta Lambda is the collegiate division of Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda. Membership is open to all students with an interest in the business world. The UNK chapter has been active for 42 years.
