The Pi Nu chapter of Phi Alpha Theta inducted 10 new students into the history honor society Saturday, April 21, at the University of Nebraska at Kearney Alumni House.

The organization is the only history honor society in existence, according to Dr. Roger Davis. It was established in 1921, and includes 839 chapters nationwide.

The UNK chapter, which was established in 1970, has more than 380 alumni and student members.

To qualify for membership, students must have a 3.1 GPA (or higher) in 12 or more hours of history classes, as well as a 3.0 GPA overall.

Students initiated into Phi Alpha Theta are listed by hometown.

Amherst – Matthew Rauert

Bellevue – Joseph Anderson

Bertrand – Brooke McGee

Broken Bow – Megan Myers

Fullerton – Kalie Wetovick

Grand Island – Kevin Kurtenbach

Kearney – Joelle Thompson and Sarah Wolf

Lincoln – Ryan Hellem and Luke Luxford
