The Global Simulation Workshop that will take place from 1 – 4:30 p.m. Monday afternoon on the University of Nebraska at Kearney campus will be Web-streamed live.

“People will be able to watch the events as they unfold,” said Ann Marie Harr, coordinator of the 2006 James E. Smith Midwest Conference on World Affairs.

The workshop, which is being brought to UNK by o.s.Earth, is the second World Affairs Conference event. In all, 200 UNK students have been selected to participate in the workshop. Via Web-streaming, anyone can watch the workshop take place as students work through global issues.

Anyone wishing to view the workshop, can go to:  http://stream.unk.edu/disted_live

“The workshop will not be streamed via a stationary wide-angled vantage, but in a more dynamic manner which will involve close-ups of individual students and small groups, while incorporating the audio of the decisions that will alter the state of the world,” Harr said.
