A diversity experience titled Piece by Peace will be featured on the University of Nebraska at Kearney campus Wednesday and Thursday of this week in the College of Education Building.

On Wednesday, the activity will be from 7:30- 10:30 p.m.; on Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The activity is free and open to the public.

Piece by Peace will be composed of separate rooms, which showcase four types of diversity– ethnic and racial, sexual orientation, religion, and physical oppression. Students, faculty and staff will have the opportunity to interact with and experience the different dimensions of diversity through the simulations as UNK resident advisers and hall directors guide groups through each room.

“Participants will be placed in various situations in each of the rooms to give them a feel for what life is like for others who are different from themselves,” said Ryan Oelke, student event coordinator.

For more information, contact CTE Hall director Ryan Oelke at 308-865-4801 or Case Hall director Melissa Bokoskie at 308-865-4800.
