Nine University of Nebraska at Kearney students have been chosen to serve on the Admissions Office Summer Orientation
staff, according to LeeAnn Amm, assistant director of Admissions.

“Summer orientation is the first chance for incoming freshman to come and learn about the campus offices,” Amm said.
“They will learn about activities to get involved with and meet advisers. They can also register for classes.” Summer Orientation at UNK is being held June 9 to July 29.

The Summer Orientation staff members will greet students and parents when they arrive. During the day’s activities, they will help students begin to make the transition from high school to college and assist them in registering for classes. The Summer Orientation staff members will also give campus tours and provide entertainment.

To be chosen to serve on the staff, the students submitted a cover letter and a resume. Finalists were then interviewed.
