Summer Session begins Monday, May 17, for the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Students looking for summer classes are likely to find the classes they need at UNK, according to Dr. Frank Harrold, dean of the College of Natural and Social Sciences.

“Allocations have been made to support summer offerings,” Dean Harrold said.

Dr. Marilyn Hadley, dean of the College of Education, said, “We want to take care of students in our programs. We recognize how important classes are to our students.” Both deans pointed to the increased number of online classes available to students this summer.

Classes will periodically convene and conclude throughout the Summer Session, May 17-Aug. 13. Unlike fall and spring semesters, Summer Session students must complete their registration by the first day of class. Off-campus class registration by the Web may be completed during the first class meeting at the off-campus location.

Summer Session class offerings are listed on WebEASI, located on the left side of the UNK home page. To register, students log on tohttp://webeasi.unk.edu and go to Registration, Grades and Student Records.

All Summer Session classes will be dismissed on Memorial Day, which is on Monday, May 31, and for the Independence Day Recess, which is set for July 5. Classes will reconvene the day after each of the two breaks.
