Basics of Grantwriting, a workshop designed for people with little or no experience in grantwriting, is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, March 26, at College Park in Grand Island.

John Falconer, director of Sponsored Programs at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, is the workshop presenter. He will introduce the structure and strategies for effective grant proposals. Falconer has more than 10 years experience in grantwriting and has received millions of dollars in grants from foundations such as the Pew Charitable Trusts, Westminster Foundation for Democracy and many others. He has conducted grantwriting workshops in Central Nebraska for more than five years.

Cost for the workshop is $35. Participants will be on their own for lunch. To register, individuals can go to:http://www.unk.edu/acad/sponsoredprograms/proposal.htm for a registration form, or call: 308.865.8496 or e-mail rayburnb@unk.edu.

The workshop will be held in Room 105 at College Park. College Park is located at 3180 West Highway 34 in Grand Island.
